There are two factors that determine your Arizona tax credit limit:
- your tax credit is capped at $587 for individuals or $1,173 if married, filing jointly for 2024
- your tax credit cannot exceed your tax liability
(your tax credit cannot be larger than what you owe)
Donations over the limits are definitely welcome and appreciated, but you may only claim up to the stated limits as a tax credit.
Annual limits for Tax Credits are set by the Arizona Department of Revenue.
To claim your tax credit, you must complete AZ Form 352 and follow the instructions provided when filing your Arizona Personal Income Tax.
More information about Arizona Tax Credits may be found at the Arizona Department of Revenue's website.
