Thank You

Thank You

Before telling you more about Jose's Closet, we want to offer you our sincere thanks and gratitude.  You are offering a safe, stable, caring environment to vulnerable children who need it most.

Jose's Closet is honored to work with families like yours to help provide a brighter future to all children.  We hope to help with some of the challenges you face in meeting their needs.

What Services Does Jose's Closet Offer?

We think of our members like family at Jose's Closet.  Jose's Closet was founded by a foster mom who knows the challenges of accepting new children into her home, and wants to help ease that burden.  We extend our benefits to the entire family, so members can shop for clothing and other items for all children under age 21 living in your home.

Every member family is invited to:

  • Select free items from the food pantry monthly
  • Purchase up to two packages of diapers or pull-ups per month at a subsidized rate
  • Purchase up to two cans of infant formula per month (subject to availability) at a subsidized rate

  • Select a week's worth of head-to-toe clothing for each child in your home (tops, bottoms, pajamas, undies, socks, shoes, etc.), nine times per year
  • Select seasonal items like swimwear or winter coats, plus accessories as needed
  • Select sports equipment as needed
  • Select or purchase baby gear as needed

  • Participate in our Holiday Gift Giveaway
  • Participate in our Back-to-School Giveaway
  • Participate in Valentine's Day / Easter Giveaways (as items are available)

*New arrivals in the household are always celebrated, and we welcome you to shop as needed when your household changes.

Our membership fee is $50 per year for the entire household.  We ask our member families to volunteer five hours per year to Jose's Closet.  These volunteer hours can be served when shopping, or at separate times.  We also have in-home opportunities to volunteer.

We accept and renew memberships any time between January and November.  December is tightly scheduled with our Holiday Gift Giveaways, so we cannot accept or renew memberships in December.

To join Jose's Closet, we ask that members complete the application available below, and contact us to schedule a tour.  We would love to welcome you at Jose's Closet!

Who Do We Serve?

Our mission is to serve the displaced children of Arizona.  We work with foster, adoptive, and kinship families to provide the items needed to make life easier for families welcoming children who weren't originally theirs.

We ask that if a child leaves your home, as foster and kinship children frequently do, that you send all the items provided by Jose's Closet along with that child.  Our goal is to support the children who need our help, no matter where they are.

Membership Application

Please complete this 2-page membership application.  We ask for some demographic information, which helps us apply for grants and to qualify for programs.

No personal information is ever shared or sold with outside companies.

Completed applications can be brought to your tour or emailed to
