Jose's Closet helps families who support vulnerable children by providing items to make family life easier.
Jose's Closet helps families who support vulnerable children by providing items to make family life easier.
Due to the current Covid-19 situation, Jose‘s Closet is operating with limited hours & contact until further notice. Many of the families we serve, as well as our staff team, have members in high-risk groups, and we want to be as cautious as possible.
Donors - Drop off donations only on Saturday mornings before noon. Pre-sorting your items by size helps us keep up with the donations! Please be sure to use our Driving Directions - GPS brings you to the complex office, not our front door.
Volunteers - please watch our website for updates. We will need your help when we can reopen, as well as for specific projects. Join our Volunteer mailing list here.
Members - stay informed by checking your email and our Facebook Members-Only page! We are pleased to offer you contactless service. Your email will have more information. If you aren't receiving the Weekly Update, email info@josescloset.org for assistance.
If your family includes foster, kinship, or adoptive families, Jose's Closet would be happy to be part of your support system!

We love to work with individuals and groups, such as student, school, neighborhood, corporate, scouting, or church groups. We rely on our volunteers to open Jose's Closet to our members.
Would you like to help?
We rely on assistance from people like you to keep our resource center operational. We are an Arizona Qualified Foster Care Organization, which means your donation may be claimed as a Tax Credit when filing your Arizona Personal Income Tax Return! See our "AZ Tax Credit" page for more information!
The Arizona QFCO Tax Credit is separate from other Tax Credits, such as those offered to schools. You can give to multiple organizations each year.
In addition to needing your financial support, our Resource Center accepts donations of new or gently used clothing, equipment, toys & games, and more - any items used by babies, children, and youth!
During our limited operations, our resource center is only open between 9am-noon on Saturdays.
Due to safety & security concerns we have no after-hours drop-off available.
Want to volunteer? Email volunteer@josescloset.org so we can let you know when we are able to welcome volu
Thanks for your understanding and support!
Our Resource Center provides foster, kinship, and adoptive families with clothing, gear, and lots more to help ease the financial burden of raising these special children.
We provide gently used, donated items to families. Families are able to come to Jose's Closet to select needed items for each child in their home. Raising kids is expensive, and we try to support those who are raising children not originally their own.
Jose was a cherished foster child whose dying wish was to not be forgotten. Our founder started Jose's Closet in memory of this special child who was gone too soon.
Knowing how challenging it can be to accept a new child into her home, she started Jose's Closet to help other foster families find the items they needed for the children who arrive in their homes with little to no belongings.
What began in a spare closet has expanded to fill over 10,000 sq feet of retail space - and we continue growing!
Jose was born on July 22, 1997 and became an angel on November 4, 2007.
We operate our Resource Center to provide needed items to our member families. Gently used clothing, shoes, baby gear, sports equipment, books, toys, games, and more are available to every child in the home.
We accept donations of gently used goods, new gift items and school supplies, gift cards, and monetary donations to help keep our resource center stocked and operational.
